Abstract

|
|
An epidural abscess is a collection of pus between the dura and bone. It may develop in
Either acute or chronic infections and involves either middle or posterior cranial fossa.
Headache is the most common symptom in epidural abscess, and relieved during episodes
of drainage into the external ear canal, a rather pathognomonic clinical feature. Surgery is the treatment for an epidural abscess.
Recently the authors experienced two cases of epidural abscess resulted from cholesteatomatous otitis media, which treated surgically.
